RIDGEWOOD II & III
CC&R COMMITTEE MINUTES FOR FEBRUARY 10, 2004

The committee was graciously hosted at the home of Carole and Dick Robinson on February 10, 2004.  Attending were:  Carole Pfoutz, Scott Gray, Larry Bertucelli, Carole Robinson, Don Nester, and Iris Gardner.

It was not necessary to have a reading of the minutes of the last meeting as these had previously been distributed and approved by the members of the committee.

The treasurer report was give by Iris Gardner

Don Nester will be experimenting with various formats for a new Ridgewood web site.  Discussion ensued regarding possible listings of available homes for sale, CC&R's, addresses and phone numbers, a bulletin board with want ads and other notices of interest to Ridgewood homeowners, as well as the newsletter.  The list of addresses and phone numbers would be available only to Ridgewood, while the balance of the site would be available to anyone interested in knowing more about our community.  It was decided not to post the minutes or financial information, although the dates of meetings would be announced in advance for anyone wishing to attend.  Larry Bertucceli will be providing Dick with samples of web sites from other developments.

The Ronan's have decided not to go with the plans originally approved by Architectural Committee for a tower to be added onto their house.  Instead they will be building a lower structure, more in keeping with the original appearance of the house.  The new plans have been seen and approved by the committee.

The subject of Christmas lights still in evidence on several houses was brought up and it was decided not to approach these homeowners directly, but to discretely mention in the newsletter that they should be taken down until next winter.

It was tentatively decided to change the women’s events from the 3rd Tuesday of the month to the first Wednesday.  Future plans are to hold another games day at Nancy Hoffman's, a fashion show sponsored by the Twain Harte Women’s Club on May 1 at Kelly’s Kitchen, and the garden tour on May 15.  The possibility of having a garden show in Ridgewood was also considered.

Carole Pfoutz suggested having Dr. Spitze sign a release giving us permission to erect the new sign at the edge of his property, while Larry Bertuccelli thought it best to leave well enough alone and just proceed on his verbal agreement.  Iris Gardner said that the sign fund had reached the amount originally put forth by Larry and Dick Feaster, and that a more up-to-date estimate should probably be worked up so we know whether to keep asking for donations.

The problems of star thistle and mistletoe were discussed and possible solutions for taking care of them.  There will be an item in the newsletter on this matter.

The Annual Meeting will be on either Sunday June 6th or the 13th.  Since Paulo Maffei will be the speaker it was decided to let him choose which would be best for him.  Iris Gardner will contact Mr. Maffei regarding his preference.   Larry Bertuccelli volunteered to hold it at his home again this year.

The next meeting will be at the home of Scott and Linda Gray on Tuesday, April 27 at 3 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Iris R. Gardner
