MINUTES OF THE REGULAR BOARD MEETING ON MARCH 1, 2005
Present at the regular meeting of the Ridgewood Board on March 1, 2005 were: Carole Pfoutz, Larry Bertuccelli, Don Nester, Iris Gardner, Sandy Piercey, and Carole Robinson. Dick Feaster was unable to attend because of a previous commitment.
President Carole Pfoutz called the meeting to order at approximately 3 p.m. and passed out copies of the agenda. Minutes had been previously submitted by E-mail to all members of the committee and approved without changes or corrections. Iris Gardner gave out copies of the detailed Treasureršs report, showing a total of $542.
Dr. Westbie has an abundance of mulch and had told Dick Feaster that it would be free to anyone wanting to come and get it, but has now rescinded that offer.
Block Captains: Carole Pfoutz read a letter that Diane Jacobsohn had sent to everyone in her area as block captain. It was suggested that the other block captains do something similar in an effort to get neighbors more involved with each other.
The Architectural Control Committee needs 3 new members due to the fact that Bob Edwards is moving and Ray Pfoutz and Jim Hodges have completed their terms. It is up to those on the present Committee to appoint their successors. Other Architectural Committee matters: the Ronanšs (lot 86) are putting in a new swimming pool and the Cardozašs (lot 60) have been told by the county that they must convert the space above their garage that is presently set up as an apartment.
Discussion was held regarding having speakers at various Ridgette functions; the decision was made not to have them.
The annual meeting will be held at the home of Jim and Robin Ronan on Sunday, June 26.
By-laws: Larry Bertuccelli will send letters explaining the process for election of officers during the transition from the old by-laws to the new. A Nominating Committee will be organized and their suggestions will be included in the newsletter along with a ballot. As the ballots are received, Iris Gardner will check their eligibility against the list of paid members.
It was suggested that we set a date to have volunteers pick up trash on Ridgewood streets. Larry Bertuccelli offered to have a barbeque afterwards for those who helped.
The next regular meeting of the Board was set for May 3 at Larry Bertuccellišs. (Note: this date later changed to 4/26.)
Respectfully submitted,
Iris R. Gardner
