Ridgewood Neighborhood Association

 Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Directors on March 12, 2007

 The regular meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order at 3:10 PM at the home of Larry and Nancy Bertuccelli.  Board members in attendance were President Larry Bertuccelli, Vice-president Don Nester, and Forrest Dobbs.  Also present were Dick Feaster (Neighborhood Watch/Block Captains Chairperson), Carole Pfoutz (CC&R Committee Chairperson), and Joyce Dobbs (Ridgettes Chairperson). 

 Minutes of the last regular meeting of January 22, 2007, were approved without corrections or amendments.

 The Treasurer’s report was given by Larry Bertuccelli, indicating a positive balance.   As of this date 51 residents have joined or renewed their membership in the Ridgewood Neighborhood Association.

 Dick Feaster shared information about the recent neighborhood burglary.  A motion was passed to have the Association send two Neighborhood Watch decals to each residence in Ridgewood for display in home windows.   Information about this project will be included in the April newsletter.   A meeting with Block Captains will be scheduled for the end of March.  

 Don Nester reported for the Architectural Control Committee that no new home plans have been submitted and that current building is progressing as scheduled.

Carole Pfoutz reported that she had a call regarding the recent burglary.   One resident also expressed a concern about neighbors looking out for neighbors, especially  in the event of a fire or other problems.

 Joyce Dobbs reported that the January-March meetings of the Ridgettes went well.   She will send reminder cards in early April listing the April-June gatherings.  

 The Board discussed the need for more articles of interest to be included in the newsletter as well as photos.   There was a reminder that newsletters be sent to the President and Secretary for review prior to being mailed.  Articles for the next newsletter must be submitted to Carole Robinson by April 1 in order to facilitate the mid-April mailing.

President Larry Bertuccelli indicated the need for another letter to be sent to all residents explaining the purposes of the Ridgewood Neighborhood Association and inviting them to join if they haven’t done so already.   There will also be a reminder for those past members who haven’t paid their dues for 2007.   Petitioning of AT&T regarding DSL service in Ridgewood was tabled.

 Nominations for the three Board positions up for re-election (President, Secretary, and Member-at-Large) must be submitted by May 19, 2007.   Information about the election will be included in the next newsletter.  President Larry Bertuccelli will coordinate the Nominations Committee.   Elections will be held at the June General Meeting/Summer Party.  

The next meeting is scheduled for May 21, 2007 at 3 PM at the home of Don and Betty Nester.
