The regular meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order at 3:00 PM at the home of Carole and Richard Robinson. Board members in attendance were President Don Nester, Vice-president Dave Palmer, Treasurer Ralph Legg, Sandy Piercey (Member-at-large), Carole Pfoutz (CC&R Committee Chairperson), Joyce Dobbs (Ridgettes Chairperson), and Carole Robinson (Newsletter Editor).
Minutes of the last regular meeting of September 4, 2007 were approved without corrections or amendments.
Ralph Legg reported a positive balance. A disbursement of $50 was sent to Interfaith Community Social Services in remembrance of Virginia McDonell.
Discussion was held regarding the resignation of Dick Feaster as the chairperson of the Block Captains/Neighborhood Watch Committee. Carole Pfoutz volunteered to contact residents who may be interested in being a replacement chairperson. Joyce Dobbs has sent letters to residents of Block 6 indicating that she is their new block captain.
Barbara Harvey, Architectural Control Committee chairperson, sent a report regarding the pruning of native plants by owners at the intersection of Parkridge at Ridgewood. Visibility is now improved.
Carole Pfoutz reported that there had been no activity by the CC&R Committee.
Joyce Dobbs reported on the successful Games Day at Carole Pfoutz’ home in September and the luncheon at Cover’s in October. November 7 is scheduled for a Tea Party at Carole Robinson’s home.
Don Nester reported that the website has been updated to include new residents and a change in billing by AmeriGas of an increase $2 for annual propane tank rental.
Carole Robinson will have the newsletter ready for mailing on November 13, 2007. It will include a tear-off form for residents to submit their dues for 2008. Also included will be an article on residents keeping shrubbery on their property pruned to not interfere with intersection sightlines.
The Annual Holiday Party/Meeting will be at the home of Don and Betty Nester on December 9, 2007 at 3 PM. Certificates will be presented for exceptional displays of holiday decorations. Joyce and Forrest Dobbs and Sandy and Lee Piercey will “judge” the decorations which must be in place by Sunday, December 2 to qualify.
Information about noise ordinances will be on the agenda for the regular meeting in February, 2008
Discussion was held regarding property owners’ concerns about un-spaded cats on their property. The schedule for 2008 events was discussed.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for 3 PM on February 4, 2008 at the home of Ralph and Jeanne Legg.
