Minutes of the last regular meeting of November 5, 2007 were approved without corrections or amendments.
Treasurer Ralph Legg reported a positive balance as of January 31, 2008. 54 resident families have sent dues for 2008. A letter reminding residents to renew will be sent in the near future.
Cori Frank will be chairing a meeting today at 4 PM to discuss the revised Block Captain Guidelines.
The plans for home construction on Lot 120 have been requested by Barbara Harvey for review by the Architectural Control Committee.
Carole Pfoutz reported that there has been no activity by the CC&R Committee.
Joyce Dobbs expressed thanks to Don and Betty Nester for hosting the annual Christmas party. Everyone in attendance had a wonderful time. Jeanne Legg was also thanked for hosting the Ridgettes Games Day/Potluck in January. The Ridgettes schedule for February is lunch at Pasta Fool coordinated by Betty Scruggs and a potluck luncheon at Bearly Quilting in March coordinated by Betty Nester. Hosts are needed for the June Summer Party/General Meeting and for the December Christmas Party/General Meeting.
Don Nester reported that the website has been updated.
Articles for the next newsletter should be sent to Carole Robinson by February 15, 2008 for the February 22 publication.
*An event calendar for 2008 was discussed. A clean-up day has been tentatively set for April. A final date will be set at the March meeting and published in the March newsletter.
*Several complaints about barking dogs have been received. Complainants should call the appropriate city/county department to register a complaint. Don Nester will research which departments should be contacted and will report these phone numbers in the next newsletter.
*Several comments have been received about AmeriGas prices not being accurate. The Ridgewood Neighborhood Association website has current AmeriGas pricing for anyone to check. One can also check the wholesale costs set by the state.
*A motion to set a maximum amount of $50.00 to reimburse hosts of the bi-annual party/general meetings and clean-up day barbeque was passed.
*The condition of the Lot 111 property was discussed. Note has been made regarding dogs chained near the entryway; stray, un-spayed cats; and trucks parked outside. Dave Palmer contact the renter of this property and/or the property management company to note infractions of the CC&Rs.
*A discussion of “friendlier signs” for the neighborhood watch was tabled until the next meeting.
*A white panel truck with no license has been seen driving slowly through the neighborhood.
*Several instances of mailbox damage have been noted.
The next Board meeting has been scheduled for April 7, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the home of Ralph and Jeanne Legg.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:16 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Forrest Dobbs, Secretary
