NEW BUSINESS
1. Ralph Legg reported on Amerigas propane. There is no written agreement. He explained the recent increase to $0.57 over the posted price. Amerigas has agreed to provide weekly prices to be posted on Ridgewood Web page.
2. A resident’s letter to the Board was discussed: A. Dave Palmer explained that the mud on Ridgewood Drive below Parkridge is due to a drain on West Parkridge that is not working and causes run-off to go across private property and erode the slope and bank above Ridgewood Drive. The County will correct the problem in its CSA contract. B. An item will be put in the newsletter reminding residents that the list of homeowners is not to be used for solicitations. C. A table for collection of dues will be set up at the Christmas party. D. Helping others still takes place, but it is now within neighborhoods rather than through RNA. Block captains could also help respond to these needs.
3. Dave Palmer explained that one of the primary functions of RNA is to coordinate with the County. Sharon Mikesell has advised him that the contractor for Ridgewood CSA will soon be cutting brush to 5 feet back from the edge of pavement. Sharon will be meeting with the County Ag department to set up a weed abatement program. She suggested Dave Palmer contact the Agriculture Commissioner about spraying.
4. Dave Palmer told about his contact with the County concerning possible fire hydrant installations.
5. Dave Palmer talked about the Summer Party and probable hosts.
6. The next RNA Board meeting will be Monday, April 25, at the Palmers’ home.
7. The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Dave Holton for Kathy Isaac-Luke, Secretary
