The regular meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order at 3:00 PM at the home of Dave and Judi Palmer. Board members in attendance were President Dave Palmer, Vice President Bim Hastings, Treasurer Sandy Piercey, Webmaster Don Nester, Secretary Kathie Isaac-Luke, Ridgettes Chair Carole Robinson, and Block Captain Robin Ronan.
MINUTES: Minutes of the last regular meeting of May 14, 2012 were approved and accepted.
TREASURER'S REPORT: Sandy Piercey reported that as of this meeting, 71% of dues have been collected and the balance in the treasury is 2230.08. The treasurer's report was approved and accepted. After discussion it was voted to move $300. from miscellaneous expenses to party expenses.
ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE REPORT: There was no activity from this committee.
BLOCK CAPTAIN COMMITTEE REPORT: Robin Ronan reported that she would be contacting the Roads Department about trimming trees on Crestview Drive.
CC&R COMMITTEE: Bim Hastings reported that there is an overgrowth of mulberry at the corner of Ridgewood and Parkridge which needs to be cut back. He also reported that there are no restrictions on animals unless neighbors complain.
RIDGETTES: Carole Robinson reported that the next meeting of Ridgettes will be a Fall luncheon hosted by Robin Ronan to be held at Cover’s Apple Ranch on September 26. On November 17, Cory Frank is organizing a tamale making class at Yankee Hill winery. Twelve people are needed to sign up and the cost will be $35 per person.
NEW BUSINESS: The Ridgewood Neighborhood Association Christmas party will be held on December 9 at 2:00pm at the Willow Springs Clubhouse. Dave Palmer reported that the deposit has been paid. An announcement will be printed in the newsletter.
Dave Palmer reported that there had been several incidences of questionable vendors showing up at Ridgewood homes with no identification. The Sheriff’s office was contacted and advised that residents obtain vehicle license plate numbers of suspicious vendors. An announcement will be placed in the newsletter warning residents of this development.
Dave Palmer reviewed the options in Ridgewood for high speed internet connections and will include this information in the next newsletter.
A special thank you was given to Lee and Sandy Piercey for Ridgewood road clean-up.
OLD BUSINESS: It was reported that the summer party at the home of Bob and Linda Parriott went very well and was enjoyed by all. A discussion was held about how to make the Block Captain Program more effective, and how to best distribute needed information. It was noted that most residents have email, but a list should be maintained of those who need to be called.
As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:10pm.
The next regularly scheduled board meeting will be at the Christmas party on Sunday, December 9, 2012.
