Neighborhood Watch Program

The following hyperlinks provide information on how to maintain a safe neighborhood community:

Community Safety

The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Community Service Unit requests that each resident place a house number sign on their mailbox. It insures that emergency vehicles can easily locate your house.

House Number Signs

House number signs may be attained at Sheriff's community information Office in the Junction shopping center.  To save a few minutes, the Form for house numbers should be filled out prior to ordering the sign.

Fire Arms

The use of fire arms in Ridgewood is restricted for both safety and noise.  Section 8.28 of the County Ordinances details the fire arms restrictions.

Recycling Hazardous Waste

Cal Sierra will collect recyclable material through their garbage collection service or you may take your recyclable materials to their facilities on Curtis Road in Standard across from the Saw Mill.  The pamphlet "Cal Sierra Disposal Recycling Program & Hazardous Waste Disposal" provides details of recyclable materials.

Care of Native California Oaks

California Oaks are native to the Ridgewood area.   The attached link, Care of Established Oaks, describes how to care for these native trees.
